I’ve used lasershow which was developed for laserdisc hence the name “lasershow” but also works great with RS422 device such as beta decks. Might be hard to find, but would be a great solution. Runs in DOS Mode and you’ll need a serial port for each deck.

The 10 PC’s are something different then the 6 DVD’s. They are just for interactive. Anyhow, I did consider Cat5 but don’t think it is the budget to add 6+ transmitters/recievers. Not to mention this is another device in the chain create problems or fail. I was hoping just to run a cable for video palin and simple.
    Thanks

Thanks all. I was hoping that the VideoBinloop with show control would work. I’m familiar with V16+ and ScriptOS and have issues in the past with other gear, just not the VideoBinLoop. You would think it would be rock solid and stable?

Works fine, I use both AXP w/mojo and Premiere 2.0 same system. I’ve never used them at the same time, maybe I’ll try that today.

Do you have autosave enabled. This might be your only option if you do. I’ve had this happen and had to open an autosave to recover my work.

Just finished a major 10 camera(HDCAM)5 hour concert. Offlined downconverted HDCAM(DV codec) using Final Cut Pro HD, G5 with extremely fast huge HDD. The multicam feature worked flawlessy as well as the overall editing expereince with FCP HD. Ready for finishing and recaptured edited show using 10bit uncompressed HD using BlackMagic HD pro card. I’m sure you’ll be doing effects/color correction so be aware of rendering and time consumption in doing this on a FinalCut system. If time is essence and need results fast while finishing consider Symphony Nitris or Matrox Axio, although they’ll cost alot more. Also consider DVD studio Pro and its capabilities creating a blu-ray volume. I use both Avid/FCP, previously edited a 12 source show on Avid and while Avid is superior for organization/robustness it was a treat to finish everything from beginning to end on a FCP system which cost a fraction of the other. If cost are a consideration this is a no brainer.
