thanks a lot folks….didn’t know about purging the cache but that seems to have helped performance a lot.

thanks Darby,
I’m pretty new at AE so any tips are appreciated. Does having more RAM help with this i wonder? How much RAM can AE CS3 actually access?

yes colorista is my main CC tool at the moment. I’ve been playing with the demo of MB looks and like it a lot…it was just the lack of elegant tracking features that had me wondering about whether to purchase or not.
I’m working on a DV project at the moment and its not as clean as i would have liked….though to be honest I think it has more to do with the less than stella DV codec than Colorista.

hey walter,
yes i guess more what i’m getting at is the above method the best workflow for ‘tracking’ certain aspects of each MB CC layer over time ie spot exposures or blurs for faking shallow DOF.
obviously if you cant move those over time the shots dont look right as in the case of a spot exposure the bright spot doesnt follow the subject in the frame.
just asking if there might be a better way using this tool set.
thanks

thanks for the responses.
I probably didnt explain myself that well, but i figured out what I wanted to do, which was to animate the individual vertices over time….found I could adjust those with the help of the command key.
thanks again!
good tip on using multiple masks as well

December 12, 2007 at 1:37 pm in reply to: displaying Quicktimes with correct 16:9 ratioHey Kevin,
those are the exact procedures I have pretty much always followed….and for some reason my QT’s are ending up as 4:3. I’m working with PAL footage….is there a bug with 720×576 footage perhaps?
