we only recently – in the last 12 months or so retired our beige G3 in our pro tools suite….man that thing just kept on going! in our quest for the latest and greatest maybe we dont appreciate fully the ‘old workhorses’ that have kept spitting out the projects month after month!

ok i found the widgets manager by clicking on the plus sign in the lower left hand corner!

no i dont have that widget in either of the widget folders on my system….is it avilable to download off the apple site?

i must have the widgets that will not die!! im pretty sure you cant delete the apple ones….but even after dragging to the trash from the library and emptying the trash…the little blighters still show up!! bulletproof widgets!!

it would be good if there was some kind of widget manager….i mean what happens when you have 1000 widgets installed? pretty crazy looking dashboard!

thanks for the pointers guys….i did have external video selected via my decklink extreme card….however i couldnt acutally get it to output to my monitor!

turning it off did help….though i would like to see if that option actually does work with the decklink card….so far it doesnt seem to want to output the canvas.

just messing about with some photoshop layers…it does seem a bit random…the footage is 8bit SD and DV with photoshop elements….i guess they must really stack their demo’s and have secret smoke and mirrors operating when they bandy about HD footage on the apple roadshows!

that’s right 57 layers of 720p etc…. send no money now 🙂

for $99 bucks just buy a few copies and help support the awesome work graeme does…he isnt a huge corporation – just one man, lot’s of maths, code and a whole lot of time on his hands 🙂

hey walter,

dont get me wrong…the cow totally rocks!!! it’s just that some forums are more active than others…FCP in particular could get the award for lightning fast responses…especially considering we are all busy working so taking the time to help out is such a great thing….i think that’s what I love about FCP compared to my old avid days….there’s a great sense of community!
