So what happens when you load the default PPro keyboard layout? Does M mark your timeline or selected clip?

What Walter said. And I mark/subclip/tag everything in Prelude and then just create Smart Bins (say, Scene2_Take3) and it gets even easier.

Pretty sure you can get there by nesting your clips.

There’s plenty of shortcut keys for what you want to do. I thought you were asking to dissolve from camera to camera inside a multicam clip. Your angles can be toggled with the number keys at the top of your keyboards. A cross dissolve is the default transition in PPro and assigned to Command D. You can set its duration in Preferences. You can select any transition effect and set it as the default.

So if I was doing what you’re doing I would cut the clip (command K) select the second part (D) change the angle (2) and add a dissolve (command D).

I had this happen on an older MacPro with a non-Nvidia card not too long ago. Only on some multicam clips. I found that just toggling off and on the layers with the weird clips before export yielded predictable outputs.

I have never had this happen on my iMac at home.

You’ll have to make a cut and apply the dissolve as far as I know.

What I usually do is set up the moves with the box at 5% opacity. Then when I’ve got that all set I reset the opacity to 100%, nest the clip with the movement on it, then add the Track Matte Key.

Yeah, I always cut a little long in Prelude and/or the Source Monitor. Trim in the timeline and there’s always enough to use in Audition.
