That is a nice way to log interviews. Not sure how you would do that in PPro given you can only gang the reference monitor to the Program monitor. I log everything in Prelude. Big fat waveform display just made for what you’re looking for.

  • Make sure you have the text enabled to be edited in the AE comp. Also, make sure you are using “Open In Source Monitor” and not “Import”.

I would turn them both to grey scale and then mask+overlay whatever I want to color to whatever color I want it to be.

I did a series of 6 spots in the spring and I built an “Elements” sequence into the project. I did this knowing they would be reversioning these spots through out the year. Change a price point, change an expiration date, change a shot here and there, new VO, etc.

So each time I do the revisions I start a new project and then import that “Elements” sequence into it (Open In Source Monitor) and just grab what I need from it then close it.

Yeah, and it’s Windows at work and Mac at home. I still do TV and web content outside of the corporate gig and that includes using FCPX and Motion, Resolve and (rarely) Avid.

The best paying Business Model for me was the one with the guaranteed need for content. That was the staff corporate route. The pure TV/Broadcast avenue has gotten really spotty. I spent the last six months at NBC-Dallas but even that was more or less every other week.

I have an idea about one of the new business models anyway, pretty sure I just fell into it. A friend of mine brought me on board of his small technology company that’s recently been acquired by a large company way way up there on the Fortune 500. Basically, they need a re-branding of their marketing, training, on-line presence, etc.

They are moving into new digs soon and that will include studio/training/webcast space.

And day one I was handed my CC Teams log in, my Adobe Stock log in AND a subscription to the Adobe Technical Communications Suite.

Adobe might be on to something.

I use ex-FAT to format flash drives to swap between workstations.

Have you tried looking at the card/clips through Prelude? I’d be interested to see if audio is properly associated there.
