You can select all the clips, right click and choose Render and Replace. Select Individual Clips. You can then choose where to have all these new clips located. After this you can select and choose Restore Unrendered to return your timeline clips to their original state.
The only caveat here is that the clips will have “Rendered” as part of the name. Example a .mov will be name_Rendered.mov and if you go to a different format it could look like name.mov_Rendered.mxf.

In a word, Prelude. Rename them however you want on ingest and work with them from there. Original filename will remain for access anytime.

I like to say I edit “with” a laptop, not “on” a laptop. I can go for days without ever opening my MBP. From the bag to the desk and then back to the bag. At the office or at home pretty much the same thing. Not saying I couldn’t, just saying I don’t.
Rendering times aren’t that important in my overall workflow. Dynamic linking Photoshop and Illustrator files, Live Text templates from After Effects and sending a timeline with however much audio I have in it directly to Audition with video and then exporting the finished product from there is where I see my real productivity boosts.
I like and use FCPX for certain things, but the Adobe workflow saves me a ton of time no matter what machine I’m on.

So pick any sequence you want and then change it. That’s what you want to do. The relationship is that if the preview matches the source matches the output then things are really fast at time of output. The previews will be used in the render and since they’ll be the same as the output there’ll be no need to rebuild them.
Take a look at any of the DNxHD sequence presets settings and you’ll understand how to set one up.

Snapchat was pretty specific. 1080×1920. And for monitoring purposes (lowest common denominator being all the agency people who showed up for the food) it was best just to turn everything on its side and get to work.

Shot on a C100 and those EVFs are of the camera and the Ninja. The real high-tech part was the earbuds draped over the monitor to show us how the screen would be split since half of it would be red and half of it blue.

I have not been seeing this problem on Mac. Have been seeing it on Windows, but only through Display Port to 4K monitor. I was seeing mask handles just fine on a HP Zbook, but when I docked it to the monitor they went away. So HD on the laptop was fine, the same laptop on a 4K monitor was not.
Followed your suggestion and made a new 2017 project and imported an old 2015 project into it and all is now fine.
