The project settings are = DV PAL

The sequence settings are? =DV PAL

Your raw material is? = A mixture of MPEGS all converted to DV PAL and stills ( tiff, jpeg & png )

Your raw material is stored where? = Seperate hard disk in one folder

Trash Prefs, Repair Disc Permission, etc… haven’t worked? = haven’t tried that yet, nervous about the project corrupting

Right click on any of the sequences I’ve done today and nothing happens
Copy Edit to a new sequence, nothing,
Copy everything to a new project, still nothing.
Highlight everything in the timeline, click media manager and I get general error 34.
Media manager works on all of my other projects

Errr, not sure, don’t have great knowledge on alpha channels etc
Its just a jpg of a logo added in the timeline sitting above a white slug
Yes its FCP and the matte choker doesn’t help, it just makes the white of the logo slightly darker so it now doesn’t match the background.
Its the same when I monitor on an external monitor but this is only going to be shown as a quicktime anyway

    cheers

Latest discovery is when I select View/External Video/Off, then its all back in sync.
When I select View/External Video/All Frames, ie through my decklink card, thats when it goes 5 frames out of sync.
I can’t see how to adjust anything in the Decklink settings

Additionally, I have just exported using Compressor and the MPEG2 files for DVD are still 5 frames out of sync !

My audio track and sequence settings didn’t match, one was 48 khz and the other 44.1.
I adjusted accordingly but has made no difference.
I’ve discovered that if I move the music track back by 5 frames then the self contained QT export is now in sync, but obviously watching live in FCP is now out of sync ??

My first Lightworks did it with any problem about 19 years ago and that had the processing power of a pea…no excuses I’m afraid !
