I doubt that my monitor is large enough to see any benefit in quality. The same would be true with creating an MPEG4 file. I know that I can burn & play STD MPEG4 play them OK on my stand alone DVD player. Can any DVD player with MPEG4 playback capability for standard definition also be of able to handle HD playback.

    Thanks in advance

Since the last posting I have confirmed the file size because I eventually got a DVD burned which DVDA told had me would be 96%. Windows Explorer look at the file on the DVD & it’s only 3.7GB so I should have been able to get the ‘extras’ on the disk as well. I suppose that there is a workaround for this problem that should work. I could tell DVDA that I’m using a dual layer disk & have it create a file on the hard drive for the project, then use something like Nero to burn the disk since the correct size should be picked up by Nero.

    Thanks in advance

This also creates a problem because I wanted to have both files plus the ‘extra’ file on the disk without dropping the bit rate & I can’t even though there should be plenty of space in the disk.

    Thanks in advance

  • I think that I did correctly as you suggested but things didn’t turn out exactly as hoped for. On the scene selection menu I selected open a new page & then on the original menu I cut the links that I wanted & pasted them onto the new page. On this new page I selected all the text links & changed the button to both text & thumbnail.

What I got saw had each button covered with a mask that covered both the thumbnail space as well as the text itself. The text was above the thumbnail space not below as it usually is. When you go to change the size of the thumbnails you can’t just select the thumbnail as the text is also selected at the same time. I can change the text but can’t select the thumbnail to resize it etc. I can change the thumbnail to animated but not allowed to define a new starting position for the thumbnail. Where did I go wrong?

    Thanks in advance

I have found the problem & feel pretty stupid. It seems that I still had DVDA 2 installed & that a shortcut pointed to it. I now have the shortcut pointing to DVDA 2.

    Thanks in advance

Is doing that likely to also to help with the shimmering?

What I was hoping to end up with was a black screen which was cut outs in it in the shape of the text that I typed & through this typed area I can see the underlying video through each letter. In other words just the transparent type text as the preset produces but with black instead of blue.

    Thanks in advance

I tried what you suggeted my it made no difference. When I went to properties it was already set to black. Maybe the confusion is because I said that the light blue was the background. It’s actually the forground & the text just shows through the holes left by the transparent text.

    Thanks in advance
