    Hi,
This site sells tv ads already produced and customizes it for the business for leasing. Maybe you could sell your ad to them or start a company doing the same.

    Hi every one,
I will tell you how I got set up. I started working for a wedding photographer shooting the videos. Some of buttons on the cameras didn’t work to well (AG-455 and AG-456). So I got my own and he gave me more money because I used my own equipment. I got one camera after my first year and the second one the next year. There was other stuff I needed that he had. So I got everything a little at a time (mic’s, Lights and Tripod).

With editing I wasted money on that. I had a Fast Video Machine with 3 AG-1980 decks and did not make any money editing. Then around 2000 or 2001 I sold it all but one deck. Got a VX-2000 and a new PC with Adobe premiere 6.5 and the photographer had me edit all the weddings that year. So I did not shoot that year. I have full time job to.

If I had to do it over with the editing I would go with a Mac. With a Mac you can install Adobe premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and Avid. On a PC you can’t use Final Cut Pro and I see a lot of job posts that say Final Cut Pro Editor need. Not premiere Pro, Vegas, and Pinnacle. Just Avid and Final Cut Pro. So if you need to sub-contract as an editor I would learn Final Cut Pro. Doing your own jobs use what you like.

For my own video jobs I edit with premiere Pro CS3 on a PC. This fall a company I shoot weddings for ask me if I would like to edit some of the wedding I shot and they use Final Cut Pro and they want me edit using Final Cut Pro. If had a Mac all I would need is the software. No one is asking to have there wedding in HD yet.

I make money with Event Videos. I did one Real Estate video.

    Hi Jake,
The well-known ski filmmaker you are talking about. Would that be Greg Stump? I ski and work in the ski industry and seen The Blizzard of AAHHH’s (1988). I have Time Waits for Snowman though
    P-Tex, Lies & Duct Tape.

Greg Stump has a way of producing ski movies that capture my attention like Law and order and CSI, Stuff like that.

I still go see the Warren Miller movie when it comes to the Bushnell in Hartford every year but there just not the same.

Sorry my post does not have anything to DCVPro 50. I love skiing and ski racing. So when I read the last post I had to ask.

Hi, and thank you for the feedback.
I forgot I put that link in my profile and there is a typo.
    It should be http://www.skiwaxstore.net
I sell ski wax and I teach and coach skiing and ski racing part time in the winter.

My background in video started at Public Access TV on a TV show running the camera. The producer of the show like how I did and trusted me with more creative moves and the others he would just have them set up there shot and then switch to there camera. After a mouth or two he asked me if I would like to do weddings. I shot wedding 4 years part time and working 10 hours a day at my job. Then I got burned out and asked if I could do some editing. So I did that for 2 years. I have taken classes at a community collage and the photographer I work for close and went in the limousine business. I took two years off and now I do 4 or 5 wedding per year on my own and shoot for two other wedding videographers, no more then 2 per mouth.

    I can

Hi,Looking for other way to make money in video editing with out doing the editing. I know some one that opened a Karate school and he never took Karate. He hire Instrutors to teach. I was think about this because have a extra room where I edit and I was going to get a PC system with the Adobe Production studio and Black Magic-Design Multibridge Extreme for 2K film and HD editing. A HD edit deck or if the client wanted some other deck I do not have I could go to HBGroup 20 mins away and they could rent what they need or I could rent it to rent it to them. Some thing like that. I would differently get atlest one high end HD deck to start with. If I was to do this. That is why I am asking this question. I tend to thing big and tire to come up with ways to start small and build up. I already went to school for BSEE and I do not want to work in electric engineering any more. I would like to work in video full time but I can’t aford a pay cut working for someone else to learn from. I have a family. I learned video from cable access and I been work for a couple of wedding videographers shooting and editing for 7 year now. I do not want to do weddings forever. I would like to do action sports videos. I like Marketing and Corporate Video but it sounds like there is to much pressure.

The Fast VM works only with windows 98 or 95 and needs ISO slots, I think that’s what they are called. 3 of them if you want YUV output so you need a old PC. It works in real time because the boards do all the work not the PC. This is a link to the last place I know to find a Fast system in the world if he still does. https://www.videosnapshots.com he is in Chicago, IL

I have a system but NLE board call the DPR failed, but the Linear board still works and I use it as a live switcher for my friends cable TV show.

January 13, 2006 at 11:31 pm in reply to: exporting to tape problem

Hi, I have the same problem. I got the video to tape by starting the camera recording with out device control and then press the space bar as if I was previewing the time line, with the CTI at the begining of the time line. That is how I got it to work . I would like it to work the right way so I could use device control when recording back to tape with the camera. I am using a sony VX-2000.

December 1, 2005 at 8:00 pm in reply to: export to tape – audio cuts in & out

I have a problem with video fading in and out when I used the Export to Tape but the audio was fine. I got around the problem by hit the space bar and record on the tape deck and it would work. The video did not fade and I never found out what the problem is.
