Good solution Grazzie .. you can then control the speed ramp .. Nesting is certainly powerful.

It’s not very precise, but you can group all the events on a single track (select events then G for group) and then grab the end of the last event and do an ALT drag time stretch in either direction.

Boom Bang .. that’s sounds like the one he wants.
Nice SFX sites too. Are they really free?

January 14, 2017 at 1:03 am in reply to: Which file type to use when importing an animated superimposed graphic? You need a file that preserves the Alpha channel meaning transparent background.
I had no idea how to do this with a video file from another party so I did some research. Here’s how you’d do it if you were doing it in Vegas and then using it in Vegas. For example, if you rendered out a lower third from NewBlueFx for use in another Vegas project. Here’s a solution from MUTTLEY on the Vegas forum.
“…if I recall I rendered to AVI but change the settings from Sony YUV Codec to “Uncompressed” and on the the bottom you then have the choice to tick on or off “Render alpha channel (uncompressed video formats only). When you bring it back into Vegas you change the Alpha channel on that avi to Straight Unmatted.” ..
As I said, you need a format that will preserve the Alpha channel, otherwise the background will be black. I tried Muttley’s solution and it works if you can figure out how to set the AVI or MOV file to straight unmatted.
But I’m sure there are others with a better idea of how to handle compositing from another party. I’m not expert at compositing. You’ll want to have that other party send you a file to test. Likely it would be MOV or AVI

January 12, 2017 at 11:20 pm in reply to: Sony Vegas 14 Cannot Open Project Get Message “Windows Out Of Memory”Over the years, I’ve had my share of computer problems. When they appeared, I’d be saying,
“Nothing has changed. Why doesn’t this work? Damn software !! ”Mostly the answers come by narrowing the problem down. One thing is clear, something has changed, namely you are going from VP13 to VP14 and namely in VP14 (but not 13) the file is going low on Memory. But why? All VP14 fault. If VP14 was entirely at fault, I think we’d have heard much more about it on this forum from others. Personally, I’ve not seen the problem. Maybe it’s the very large file size?
One answer is to stick with VP13. But if it was me, I’d reduce this .veg file into about five parts. That should not be hard to do in VP13. Load each part separately into VP14 to see which ones, if any .. (or all?) go low on memory. You should be able to get an idea of WHY VP14 does not like this .veg. No doubt it is some media within the file that VP14 does not like. Of course, it could be a major bug in VP14 so you should report it to Magix. Meanwhile, if you wish to use VP14 and not wait for that bug fix, you could try to work your way to answer. NARROW THE PROBLEM DOWN. What works. What doesn’t.
I can’t speak to any size limit for Vegas files but are you saying that the full .veg file is 8 megs?

Make sure you have Show Favorites unchecked in the Render Template list. In the full list, it’s under Sony MXF .. You should be seeing it.
Maybe someone more expert than I can explain what the best MXF template would be in your case. I often use the HD EX 1280 x 720 – 30p MXF template and then render the final in 720p MP4 for YouTube.
What’s your final output going to be? DVD ?
