March 20, 2017 at 8:34 pm in reply to: vegas pro 13 how to restore deleted audio to video eventDo you have the video that matches up to the “deleted” audio? If so, why can’t you locate the spot by the video?
Can you open the video that corresponds to the “deleted” audio in the trimmer?

March 20, 2017 at 7:40 pm in reply to: vegas pro 13 how to restore deleted audio to video eventIs this “wild” audio you deleted, or was it an audio track from the camera taken along with the video?

>> When I group tracks, they will move together, but if I try to reduce the event length, they ungroup and won’t cut together as a group (as in a matching audio and video track).
Do you mean grouping events or tracks? Explain further. I’m not seeing any problem in VP14 with grouped events.

Post the media info for the MP4 file. It’s very likely you don’t have the right Codec for the media that will not preview.

March 20, 2017 at 5:06 pm in reply to: Audio Tracks solo switch always on no audio plays, track greyed out Vegas 13 on Win 10 new install on new computer>> Suddenly my audio tracks are greyed out and the vol control shows Off(solo) in yellow. I only have one track and it is not soloed.
When you solo a track, it greys out all the other tracks, not the soloed track and those other tracks will show OFF (solo) in yellow as you describe. Yet you say you only have one track.
Look for the soloed track. It may not have any audio on it’s timeline, but it still can be soloed and give you the behavior you are seeing.
A screen shot of all tracks would be helpful.

Post one of the .veg files so someone can try it on another system. No media is needed. .veg files are generally small so should not be a problem to post it.

Try rebooting your computer in Safe Mode, and then see if the problem veg file opens in Safe Mode – I did find that this was mostly successful, and I was able to copy/paste the timeline to a second opening of Vegas.
Another suggestion (which I read on this forum a while back) is to delete the .sfl files (including sfl0, sfl1) from your project folders via Windows Explorer, and then open the veg project. If this works, VP will recreate the .sfl files for all the media on the timeline on opening. It might be that an .sfl file is the problem.
