It has been awhile since I tried importing a vob by renaming it to mpg. I usually saw what you are describing. I think it had something to do with the audio being muxed in the vob file. I typically used a vob to avi converter and that made things work properly.

Not sure about your copying of files instead of importing theory, but I will say that almost 3 hours of footage is tough for Encore to encode. I had a similar experience with about 100min trying to fit on a single layer DVD. Here is the link of my experience with a summary on the end.

Also, make sure you use AC3 audio.

I have encountered this, too. Especially if the clip is coming from Premiere. I had to create just an audio WAV file in Premiere and then delete the original audio in Encore and import the WAV file.

Then you have the healing brush, patch, and/or clone stamp tools. Not easy.

Understood. I would think the cage is distracting. Maybe I didn’t make myself clear. If you have CS5, then you treat the tiger as the background and let PS ‘fill in’ the background/tiger. Then you just delete the cage.

I see. What you describe should work. I have done similar menus with transparent but active buttons without a problem. Glad there was a work around.

Sounds like your player is having some issues with a non-button menu. I don’t understand, though, why a first play timeline would not work for you. What does a menu with a non-active button do for you that a timeline would not?

Always tricky. Try different techniques including healing brush, patch, and/or clone stamp.

I did see a cool new feature in CS5 and Richard Harrington did a tutorial on it:

That looks like magic and may help you as well, if you have CS5.

    Hi Edgar,
I agree, nothing too fancy. The only ‘odd’ thing I see is that you start with a menu with no button. Is it a menu or a timeline? I would recommend you use a timeline as your first play in this case. Its end action would then be the menu you have with the button on it. I have never created a menu with no buttons.

No guarantees, but try some file recovery software (I like Recuva). Maybe PS did a write before delete file creation (most do).

    Good luck,
