– try closing all other application running other than AE, that includes your task bar applications too.
– Currently your default Ram setting is 60%, Go to edit…then preference, and increase the ram percentage to 80-90%.(Don’t use 100%, you need some to run the application.)-Patrick.P

Thanks for all tips guys, Even though I’m a newbee to AE, I was distracted by Digital Fusion and Shake. But before I move to any Node based program, I want to fully understand AE on the compositing site. So I’m going stick around with her for a while.

Its a good thing that you brought up this issue, cuz I’m also having the same issue. Man it takes for ever to color correct and bring them back as QT Animation, plus these clips become huge size after import as OT Anim. -Patrick.P

Add Brightness and contrast effect, use three keyframes, set the 1st one to 0, and second one to between 90 – 100, then third key frame to 0 again. make sure time interval somewhere between 8-12 frames.

have you upgrade your AE6.5 to AE6.5.1 from adobe website. Try after upgrading it.

bring your project to AE 6.5, then apply Heu/Sat effects and reduce the saturation. Then apply “Color Diff” effects, and that will remove 95% of green from the back. then add “spiller” effects to remove rest of the 5%. Congratulations! you got yourself a perfect green screen solution for that was shot in bad lighting condition.

disconnect the external hard drive, and create a dummy project in your internal hard drive. dummy project can be 2-3 min long captured file with couple of standard effects. And render them. see the result.
-Is your firewire is 400 or 800? -
for some reason Pro is faster for rendering than AE, But I don’t know why
