  • Wow 0 – strange.

and strange there is no response. maybe everyone is on holiday?

Anyway – After years of editing film and video from real razor blades and 1/2 rtr drop-syncing…

to FCP 1.25 and on and Premiere before it was even Pro and then the amazing FCPX.

Resolve was easy to pick up after watching an hour tutorial… enuf that I know I know very little yet what is important is the over workflow is right there and knowable.

So if you got the right editor – they should easily be able to be compete in Resolve.

  • Oh, I hate when stuff like that happens on an upgrade.

Did you copy the Library first or is it a 100 TB video library .. so not practical to duplicate aka backup you Library?

Are there some small Libraries you can attempt first?

    It’s been a long time …

Do you have the Activity Monitor running so you can see the CPU usage and the memory pressure?

Do you have 2 clips … test … then add another clip and test?

There could be a time where it starts to take time.

Are these files all transcoded for Pro Res? Pro Res is supposed to be smoother in operation than other codecs.

  • Has ANYONE been able to burn a DVD-Video with FCPX or Compressor?

A quick google should tell you if Soundtrack Pro 3.0 reads MIDI files.

And I am sure that GarageBand reads MIDI files.
