If you bought FCPX for your iMac, you still own it to use on Mac mini.

(the first thing to note is that it would be VERY smart of you to clone

a perfect working system of Mojave and FCPX.)

As for the shortcuts – I don’t really know how to make them without asking google.

IDK the details, yet I would think that you need to do “motion tracking” and not

    anchor point on a mask.

  • Please tell us the details so we can learn from your struggles.

I have read that the plasma leaks out after a certain amount of time.

    Is that still happening?

Sometimes files on SSDs dont last so long … they are not rated for long time storage unless constantly plugged in to do the refresh cycle.

    Maybe that happened.

And maybe after the SSD being plugged in for a certain amount of time those files can be restored?

  • That sounds a little familiar.

I remem ber going over some tutorials years ago that discussed this issue.

Tutorials are the way to go.

One thing I remem ber is that one cannot crossfade to no content.

FCPX does not create some content when one wants to crossfade from something to nothing. Yet usually they give that error message.

What I like doing is creating some test sequences and play with what a crossfade can do.

December 21, 2021 at 10:33 pm in reply to: Please Help – Premiere editor has project in FCPX

One thing to know is that FCP X is a true nonlinear editor.

And that is what the “magnetic timeline” is all about.

It would be very smart of you to watch at least an hour of a great tutorial.

One great one is by Larry Jordan on his website.

It takes a certain amount of time to “get” the magnetic timeline,

so please take some time to study.

Are the “artifacts” in the output file?

Or just when you look close on the timeline?

And you are using the “flow” transition?
