Was the media AMA linked or had you imported or AMA linked and Transcoded it?
So was it Avid media in Avid Mediafiles folders?

If it’s AMA linked then it sounds like the AMA links have broken.
To fix that create a dummy bin and re- AMA the files in. The clips in your other bins will pop back online.

If it’s Avid media then you have something wrong with the folder path to the media or corrupt media databases.

But wont this give me a 50 or 60 fps output file at then end?
Which I don’t want as the source is 29.97.
I don’t really care what the IO does to make that output playable but I need the sewuence to be 29.97

Yes don’t forget with some tapeless media the only identifying factors are filename and location. Move the location and you only have filename as a match. If you have sub folders with files of the same name in each then you will have problems.

It’s not uncommon for some Post houses to use batch renaming tols to rename all the source files prior to starting the edit to ensure all sources are unique. Not an issue with P2 and xcdam etc as they have UMIDs.

You say you switched hard drives. I presume you copied all the content from the old drive to the new drive in the same file structure and paths?

If you’ve been able to re-AMA clips into fresh bins then your original AMA clips should just relink in the original bins.

You may have to do a re-link of the sequence to refresh those links but the original clips in the original bins should just re-link on their own.

You haven’t updated MC between the first AMA link and this later AMA link?

You can apply a safe color limiter effect to the very top track to ensure the output is correct (and you need to set up that effect to be what your delivery needs)
But there’s a lot of other stuff to check and get right for broadcast deliverables.

Working in 10bit is only useful if you then retain 10bit all the way to delivery. Grade at 10bit and output to an 8bit format and you lose all you gained.
Also not keen on 185x as it has the same data rate of 185 at 8 bit so for 10bit its more compressed.

If you are in a Progressive project any interlaced content should get a motion adapter when it cuts into a sequence. However wrongly flagged content won’t be treated correctly.

Always worth having an Interlaced project to check suspect source content or just toggle your project to i to test the sources.

In the tools command palette within MC you have the option to step fields instead of frames so even with in the source record monitors you can step field by field and check if it’s progressive or interlaced and the field order is correct.

Capturing uncompressed is the best bet but J2K (which isn’t uncompressed) is what a lot of Archives are using (it offers 2:1 compression lossless)

However the Avid media files, depite being in an MXF wrapper, aren’t what you want for storing the content as it’s wrapped as Avid media files so of little use to anything else.
MXF is a better wrapper than QT but you really need a more generic MXF implementation.

Also I’d pay close attention to the analogue playback side of things as this is more likely to degenerate the content than anything you can get wrong on the digital side.

Each menu item you add allows you to link to a title and specify the audio track and subtitle track to use.
So you can create multiple menu options for the same content.
But that’s an ugle approach. I’d use a more featured authoring solution like Scenarist ( which we use) and use GPRMs to store a users subtile (or clean) choice and use that to enable or not the required subtitle. That way you have a seperate subtitle choice menu.
Using the Avid DVD you’d most likely create the subtitle choice menu first and from that step to one of 3 identical menuz to play the 8 titles hardcoded to enable the required subtitle or clean. Don’t forget back buttons.
