ah! Very interesting, I forgot about that haha, too long ago!

Will there be a way to do so as a function of the DVD recorder?

Thanks very much for your help, much appreciated!

  • Hi Todd,

Thank you so much for your exhaustive explanation. This is the best info I could find on this topic!

You mention that you assume that I’m intending to shoot at 60fps with a 1/180 shutter speed. I’m actually intending to film 60fps with a 1/120 ss. Would this mitigate the choppiness and crispiness if played at 24fps?

    Thank you!

Sorry I forgot to say that the problem doesn’t occur if I switch off the colour correction filter and re-export.

These are the settings on the filter

    Thank you

Hi Christopher, thank you for your reply.

No, I’m simply editing and exporting. The red pixelation appears on the exported file when played back on QT or other players.

These are my sequence settings. I then export with “Current settings”.

    Thank you

Also, why are they asking for Width 448 px Height 288 px as it’ll be tiny?

It is an LED display billboard. Could you point me in the right direction about making the proper aspect ratio in AE?

    Thank you

Yeah John, I suspected that as I had other troubles.

I’ll give it a go. Thank you so much!
