  • MY iMac, which would be the one that I would use as a monitor, is an August 2008 iMac, intel core 2 Duo. My laptop is much newer, it’s a macbook pro i5.

I’m not sure where my manual is for the iMac…

What do you think, can I do it?

I had tried the copy paste technique but never thought of removing the attributes – brilliant!

I’m not sure exactly what my clip settings are set to. When we got the footage transfered at the telecine house we did a 4:2:2: apple pro res transfer (we shot 35mm) direct from film to hard drive. As far as the size and the kind of file it is, it’s the kind that can only be opened and viewed by FCP6.

In response to the rendering suggestion, thank you but I don’t think that’s it. I don’t get a screen that comes up saying” unrendered.” The image is simply fuzzy/slightly out of focus and I haven’t tried to add any effects to it. :o)

Where can I look to find out my clip settings and file size information?

    Thanks!
