June 22, 2006 at 9:10 am in reply to: RAM limit in Windows XP Pro?

    Hy!

Two switch to install in the boot.ini file : /3GB and /PAE (physical address extension).

all xppro that i use can’t see more than 3gb memory (i think this is a limitation from MS)

If you want more…in 32bit system use a windows 2003 server which is design o use 24GB max (if i’m not wrong) with PAE. But applications need to be specialy developed with PAE code. And you will need drivers wich works on 2003 server (like decklink wich has now xppro, 2003 and 64 bits drivers)

    personnaly i didn’t try ppro2 an ae7 on a win 2003…

    Hy.

PPRO2 has some bugs! or after 7.

Try using an other file format like png wich has alpha channel, lossless compression and 48bits color sampling possible.

    Hope this helps you.

for premultiplied, select it in interpretation footage.

    Hy

    yes same thing….

It seems to be a problem beetween sound card detection.

Look that your decklink is not selected as default sound card in multimedia setting of windows, close after…

There might be sometimes a conflict of using device audio.

    Maybe this could help.

March 26, 2006 at 9:08 pm in reply to: DeckLink Extreme Vs Axio LE

most of visual effect from the decklink are cpu-dependent.

    Axio le has hardware acceleration.

Decklink extreme is only sd definition (for hd thnik multiridge extreme)

    Axio LE can do hd.

    decklink has 10 bits capture.

    axio is 8 bits.

    decklink is crossplatform (mac/pc)

    Axio not (only pc)

    Hy

I don’t know how the internal bios of your adapter is made of, but check if cache memory for read and write of the hard drive (and may be the adapter) are not turned off. Sometimes with factory settings it could be, to prevent data lost in case of power failure.

    regards
