  • Different drivers for both hardware, but sure you wil have same feature (i hope).
Apple has realase compiler for mac osX on X86. In most case just a recompilation is suffisent..

But i think power-pc platform has some extra time: you will need a final cut x86, a high end workstation (it won’t be the first hardware realase of Apple, whoes plans high end computer on x86 for 2007).

So! you have some time before you could use your decklink on a MAC X86 platform! and i think blackmagic guys will be ready then
to provide you a full functionnal driver for your favorite computer.

  • this is an issue of incompatibility sofware in windows

    two solutions

    – rename adobe ppro exe name (just change the name to avoid this incopatibility)

    or (better)

    – there is an update of mainconcept adobe encoder to correct this issue which is on the mainconcept website. You can find the link in the very good web-site of Steven Gotz ( https://www.stevengotz.com
    )in premiere section.

Me to… there is no way to edit with xvid (i didn’t find how to) an trick: install divx 5.2 ( the free version) and when you encode your in your setting of xvid insert “divx” FOURCC tag in the video (in advanced settings/debug section). Then when editing divx will decode your video…

In after effect it is the same problem. Maybe xvid don’t have all necessary directshow routines to be decode by the adobe products…(or adobe products don’t recognize well xvid).

    regards
