Although I am critical of audio mixing in FCPX from time to time, his use of the Auditions function for evaluating multiple musical performance takes was pretty cool.

OK, I’d be willing to bet this is NOT ARRI Alexa/Amira/Mini Log-C footage. Especially not from a drone, unless it were a very big one. Note that the inspector says AVC encoder. ARRI footage is either ARRIRAW or ProRes.
This is likely DJI set to a flat profile. Adding an Alexa LogC LUT would be the wrong thing to do because the color science is different. Did you try one of the DJI custom LUTs that you have listed in the pulldown? That might actually be the right match.
You can either get the right LUT to match the specific camera model and apply it manually, or simply grade the shot with FCPX’s color correction tools. I would recommend the latter approach.

FCPX already includes ARRI LogC-to-Rec709 LUTs. These are automatically added to native Alexa, Mini, Amira ProRes clips.

Did you import media (link to) and transcode to Avid media? If so, you should have an Avid MediaFiles folder at the root of one of your hard drives. If that’s they case, no relinking is normally requires. Media just shows up.
If you did not do this originally, how did you initially import the media?

I think this all started because the default changed to only showing the $20 option and that was picked up by some of the photography sites. The $10 option was buried deeper in the site. Then after the uproar, Adobe seems to have changed the site back.

What FCPX offers is a collect and copy function, so you get the full-length original source clip without transcoding. Premiere offers both. However, the purist/engineering answer, which came from Adobe BTW, is that any transcode degrades the image and therefore, not ideal. It’s their excuse for not consolidating (with trimmed media) any Alexa clips that have embedded LUT metadata. So everyone has some sort of issue in this case.

I’ve seen comments about receiving a clarification e-mail. I haven’t personally seen these e-mails, so take it FWIW.
Basically, if you purchased CS6 as a product before CC and have a separate End User License Agreement for it, then you are in the clear. However, if you downloaded CS6 products through CC, then you are subject to the CC End User License Agreement. In that case, the notification does apply to those CS6 (and earlier) users.
