“Video mode is PAL. fp is 24” That is wrong – 24fps is not PAL – 25, 50fps is PAL !
Please tell me why you set your camera to record 24fps ?

Vegas is not wrong !
It is the way the menu is in your camera !
Your options depend on whether you select NTSC or PAL !
NTSC: 24, 30, 60fps
PAL: 24, 25, 50fps -
You need the mediainfo of your footage for correct settings in Vegas and for best render settings !

I had the same problem with my old Canon XF100 – end up with save all setting on a sd card and on start just reload the settings from the sd card !

So mayby you have to test the speed of your:
