Back in 2013 I made a post, on a Danish video page, about Fermi / Kepler Architecture – I had a fast Nvidia GTX 560ti and later a GTX 580 graphics card – switched it to a Nvidia GTX 660ti with twice as many Cuda Core – unfortunately MainConcept only supports Fermi Architecture!
Sony Vegas Pro 12 gtx 660 vs gtx 580

Hi Eric !
Is there a difference in Render times – if you use Sony AVC MP4 instead of MainConcept ?
Best,
Ole -
Hi Scottie !
I think you forgot about which version of Vegas you are using and media info about your footage!
Best,
Ole -

“Nice tutorial Ole on using the VirtualDub2.” Thank You George Dean !
Maybe it was a bad advice! In Virtualdub2 you can only trancode to .avi
when you Batch Render – it doesn’t seem like my computer and Vegas Pro –
like Cineform.avi from Virualdub2! Cineform.mov is ok!You can also use Davinci Resolve to transcode recordings!
I have the full version Studio – it can easily handle HEVC recordings!
Don’t know about Davinci Resolve Free! The good thing about Davinci Resolve:With the release of DaVinci Resolve 12.5.1.
on Aug 11, 2016It adds ProRes decoding on Windows and no longer requires QuickTime 7 for Windows.
So Windows users can now run Resolve without installing QuickTime. Trimming and
multicam performance is also improved as DaVinci Resolve 12.5.1 now uses its own
native 64-bit code to read and write .mov files.Best,

February 24, 2019 at 4:36 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 13 – Video rendering black half way through. Odd Case.tAll the clips are from my iPhone. They were all recorded the same way and there’s no difference between them, ! I think there are difference between them – Your iPhone use variable frame rate for exposure – go into MediaInfo – View Tree and look for Frame rate – NLE’s don’t like variable frame rates – try convert your footage with Handbrake !

As George Dean has mentioned, it takes you to install Quicktime and then the DNx codecs
to work in Vegas Pro! Another good codec for Vegas pro – is Cineform! I have made a
short video showing how to batch render to Cineform with the program Virtualdub2!Download Virtualdub2 here:
