I was in touch with Ripple Training about a training series or introduction to Resolve for Mac, somewhat like they did for Color.
At first they didn’t really seem too interested, but after a bit of “DaVinci can do this, that and that – in real time!” he responded with a short “we will take a look at it”. I hope they will have some training videos going when Resolve is on its way to our Macs. 🙂

DaVinci for Mac was announced to work on a laptop. An iMac is basically a MacBook, only that the screen is fixed and it’s got a stand. Oh, and it’s got i5 and i7 CPUs.
Doesn’t look too bright with ATI being the only choice so far.

Actually, that’s something I’ve started making them do. They are charged by the hour. I don’t care whether it’s copying to a crappy USB or doing it in a snap. My time, my money. 🙂

Doesn’t matter really if there’s no big gain with more cores yet. You can hardly order a new Mac Pro 2009. As far as I know, only AppleStore online shop is the place to go if you really, really need to order one – at least in Norway. No shops or dealers have it in stock.

You can’t just plant rumors like that in my head before bedtime. Now I won’t sleep at all – my brain will boil in ideas and possibilities. Gosh. 🙂

Great! Thanks for the info, Peter. Gives me a nice idea of what I will need for space. I made a quick mockup in 3D with your information combined with the table I’m looking at from AKA. It will fit very nicely into the whole setup. We’ll see if I can manage to get the scope in there too.
