New Mac Pro’s rumoured for tomorrow
Title says it all!
Rumoured to include USB 3.0 and new GTX 480 GPU… I wouldn’t turn a blind eye to either!
Good thing as we’re about to buy 3 more machines!

I just have my fingers crossed for 2 or 3 more PCIE slots… Oh and that better GPU!

Hmmmm, at the Apple Store online it says they ship in 24 hours. And I can choose whether to have it shipped her or pick up at an Apple Store.

You can’t just plant rumors like that in my head before bedtime. Now I won’t sleep at all – my brain will boil in ideas and possibilities. Gosh. 🙂

I think more then a cpu speed bump the release of the GTX 480 will be even more exciting. 🙂

USB 3.0 is a major doubt for me, and more PCIe slots is just as unlikely.
More CPU is great, but for the extra £££ you’re not going to see a huge difference as most OSX apps are still pretty weak at efficient multi-core processing
The GTX480 is helpful for GPU, but you’d probably see an NVidia announcement about the drivers before Apple say anything (And we’ve heard nothing from NVidia)
But what do I know? There could be a big lorry round the back unloading loads of new CPUs as I type 😉

Doesn’t matter really if there’s no big gain with more cores yet. You can hardly order a new Mac Pro 2009. As far as I know, only AppleStore online shop is the place to go if you really, really need to order one – at least in Norway. No shops or dealers have it in stock.

We’ve still got 230+ units in stock, but thats not to be looked into as we generally buy up EOL stock from across Europe 🙂
