Create a Material and import your movie / in the Attributes-Manager click the Texture-Tab /
(should have the name of your movie file written on / that will open the Bitmap Shader)
Click that Animation-Tab and apply the above mentioned settings…If you’re not using R11…?, some settings might look a little bit different, or have changed,
but as far as I remember, one could do this in any older version as well…Regards

Set Mode to Simple / Timing to Range / fill in Range Start and End /
If necessary change Movie Start and End Frame as well /
Open the Editor-Tab and check Animate Preview /

Use a Spline for the path /
Use a Rectangle Spline for the floor /
Drag both into a Sweep NURBS Object /
Apply a Tile Texture, adjust X and Y to your liking /
Animate the Growth of the Sweep NURBS Object.Regards

Well, I don’t have After Effects, so can’t say…
Just did a Quicktime Movie test-render from Toon Boom Studio…
Alpha works very well in both, Colour- and Luminance-Channel…Regards
Nolan -
Well, if your QuickTime-Movie was exported with an Alpha-Channel…
e.g. “Animation or PNG” with “Millions of Colours +”…In the Material Editor / Basic / check the Alpha box /
In the Colour-Channel under Texture open that white little Triangle and “Copy Channel” /
Select the Alpha-Tab and open that little Triangle again “Paste Channel” /
In the Editor-Tab check “Animate Preview” /
Play your animation.Regarding your image sequence, you might not create an empty space before the number.
(but, I am not sure if that will make a difference…?)Regards

In the Object-Manager select the Light /
In the Attributes-Manager (General-Tab) set the Intensity-Slider to your desired position /
Hold down the control-key (Mac) and click that tiny Dot in front of Intensity /
The Dot turns red, indicating you have set a keyframe/ move the Time-slider forward… /
Or, click the “red key symbol” (below the viewport) and set a key-frame /
Or, in the Timeline control-click (Mac) anywhere under Intensity to set a keyframe/
Either adjust the Key Value in the Attributes-Manager /
Or, open Intensity (little triangle) and adjust the Intensity there (move up or down).
Make sure the “little filmstrip” is yellow (active).Regards

Try a “gel”, known as a “lightmap”…
Use a spotlight (square spot), you might have to rotate it 90º /
in the details tab, maybe set outer angle to 90º, ratio to 0.25 /
in the general tab choose a colour /
load a material (maybe a gobo) into the transparency channel and apply to the light /
in the texture tag you might have to increase tiles x and y /
render your view…Regards
