You could export it at the 12 second length then reimport and slow it down with optical flow. See what that looks like. The trick to making these things work is shoot at the maximum frame rate you want to use so you have plenty of real frames to show.

Hard to tell without seeing the viewer but I would suggest starting a new Library/Project timeline set to the correct timebase. Then select all in the original TL and copy/paste into the new one. And see if the problem persists.

You don’t need to work directly with the project folder structure in the Finder. May I recommend you take some basic training to get you more comfortably into the FCPX mindset? Ripple Training will save you a whole lot of time.

And one caveat for early-adopters, Clips requires iOS 10.3 which is the superslow update due to the file system update, so maybe time it for this evening.
