  • Edit “Apple .mv4” footage & re-save with best quality?

I only have access to the “.mv4” 1080p movie that was output from a FCPX project that can’t be found.
I need to open in Final Cut, trim out sections from this clip and re-save.
What would be the best way to render the final output movie once I’ve finished the edit and retain the best quality?
    Thanks!

Just to make sure I export correctly…
File>Share>ExportFile>Choose “Apple Pro Res 422 HQ” from ‘Video Codec” dropdown?

    How about the original format?

Is that going to be the least amount of “uncompressing” and “compressing”?
