I’d suggest exporting to Apple Devices and manually uploading to Vimeo and see what happens. Sounds more like an issue on the Vimeo end than FCPX.

Master file is typically ProRes or the project settings. Pixelation shouldn’t be any more apparent than what was in the original file.

Did you apply transitions to any of the clips. Are there cross fades in the audio components?

Also what do you mean exactly— the sound level is too low/high? Or the quality of the sound coming out is distorted?

I suspect you probably just didn’t copy it over completely when you switched computers. Generally speaking you never need to mess with projects at the Finder level anyway. Just move it over with the library.

Zebras also made more sense when camcorder viewfinders were black and white and overexposure was difficult to distinguish visually. Nowadays a wfm/vectorscope are what you want to master.
