Also as a bit of business advice: when an easy fix turns out to not be, it’s wise to inform your client their project may involve more $ before taking tons of extra time to actually accomplish it.

Sure and you can always go into proxy mode if you find performance suffers. It’s either pay with $ or with time waiting on renders. Cheap, fast, good- pick two. Welcome to the club!

If you’re talking about the installer files- sure. Just don’t delete the installed apps or effects if any.

Well if you are copying directly to another drive and then using that drive to edit from again you’ll always face reconnect issues. Ideally you would set this up in a more shared environment where both sets of editors are working from centrally located media rather than have multiple instances. FCPX will default to the original media locations specified in the original project and will always require a reconnect to link to a new location.

Really comes down to what you personally mean/can endure by “crazy processing times”. That machine is quite decent but there are also substantially faster options for more $. You get what you pay for.

I would not create a new Library every day as it will lead to precisely these sorts of issues. Backups are already being made of the Project/Event databases automatically by FCPX. If you want more protection try: https://www.arcticwhiteness.com/finalcutlibrarymanager/
