The GTX Titan X is the fastest single GPU you can buy.
So why not?
But remember that it’s not only the GPU. A fast Cpu, lots of Ram and a fast raid can help as well.Nils Welter

OpenCL Support was introduced in CC (2013). No chance to get that AMD Card working in CS6.

OSX 10.7 is officially not supported by CC 2014.
That means it might work good or less, but adobe didn’t test it.Nils Welter

Brian,
Also your gpu could cause the problems. It’s an old and weak gpu. My experience with this gpu is to better disable gpu acceleration because the cpu can do it faster.
We put newer nvidia cards in all of our macs.

Select all affected clips in timeline. Hit G for audio gain, then set gain to 0 (first row). Setting absolute gain to 0 means reset to default.

Hey Matt,
Premiere Pro can also handle DnxHD Footage wrapped in MXF Container with better performance. In most cases Quicktime is a bad idea on Windows machines, except GoPro Cineform.
My new favourite codec is GoPro Cineform, because of it’s performance in the actual version of Premiere Pro.
When looking at quality, there is no visible difference between dnxhd and cineform. Both are good mezzanine codecs.
But I read an article somewhere a few weeks ago, it was a comparison between Prores, DnxHd and Cineform. And DnxHd had the worst quality. Prores a little bit better than Cineform. But all this not visible for human eye.Nils Welter
