Maybe they will put HDMI as video input on new 4K Cinema Display, next to Thunderbolt as Ui input. With proper calibration loop and HDMI 2 support, they can offer fully rounded video editing environment – hardware, software and monitoring 🙂

If you have appropriate hardware than yes. But have in mind that you will need one additional plugin to send edit to audio company.

Hello Jan,
You don’t need to export DPX from Premiere, you can use XML or EDL workflow and gain access to RED metadata in Resolve. If you are grading for Rec 709 there is no need for LUT. You can use output LUT if you want to go from REDLogFilm.

First of all thank you for clarification.
I also find that digibeta can’t operate in this mode. For hdcam i setup TCG to extrenal and tc in to SDI. In resolve deck control i set recording mode to assembly (power master) select output source timecode for timeline, gang time codes, and select output LTC but when i hit record deck won’t start preroll. Do i need to crash record on tape timecode similar to first clip source timecode in power mastering timeline first?

Ok, it’s hdcam hdw-m2000 or digibeta dvw-a500. RP-188 is just a spec, I need more info how to do that both with decks and resolve.
