I see AVC Intra is now native, no transcoding but no mention of DVCPRO HD

As i said in my earlier post:
in this biz, when u try to save a lil cash by buying something cheaper, you always get screwed.

I always buy the best i can afford, and in the computing world, u better get yourself an ATTO for FC.

    i’ve airmarked

    PROAVIO 12TB RS16FS Array
ATTO Technology Celerity FC-42ES 4Gb controller
    Q-Logic SANbox 5600Q 8-Port Fibre-Channel Switcher

    that should suit me fine.

    OK!

Thanks bob, i looked @ the specs and they seemed fine but B&H has a 12 TB version for $6800, and a comparable option from Dulce is 11K but that is with a controller card.
    Thanks for the recommendation

this SHOULD be able to do 2k files(single stream), although the most we will be doing is uncompressed 1080/24P or 30P HD or prores HQ, but want the option just in case i decide to try to get a job that needs it.

    LOL:

i agree. That my only problem with RED Rocket, what exactly are you gonna monitor it on.

unless u have one of those sony 4k projectors or a Barco thingy u wont see 4k, there are no 4k monitors, and wont be for a while. now if it’s an accelerator so you can zip through color easier then oh hell yes.

i actually taut they would partner with Aja on this. but what ever

April 22, 2009 at 2:59 pm in reply to: You want HDMI, Here have this

    Hey Guys:

My solution to the handheld issue is get a wireless Hd Transmitter and slap it onto the back of the camera and problemsolved.

IDX has a tx/Reciever combo selling for 5K,

    https://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=workaround.jsp&A=details&Q=&sku=554874&is=REG#features

    https://www.idxtek.com/products/trans_sys.html

and the KiPro is 4K so that is 9K. If you do dailies on a regular basis, i think 9K is no money to spend.

    That’s my solution

    certainly seems so:

On Aja’s site there is a little caption saying for a limited time get some cash off the LHe, and of course the LHe is missing from the site now so i would say yes.

ok that optical sdi thing i have not seen b4 2day, but i think it’s a great idea. lets see how it picks up

but that Ultrascope sounds like a plan, 700bucks is cheap, but i disagree with the article saying scopes these days a re inaccurate.

Im a mac person so i guess i have to buy a cheap windows box to run this thing. no biggy, but i need scopes bad.

Oh and why a 24 inch monitor?
