I believe OP is talking about in the Browser and not in the Library. Just yesterday I could command click on any disclosure triangle and it would open or close all categories (sorted by file type in this case). Today it is not working. It was wonky in 10.2.3 also.

This appears to be buggy. In 10.2.3 Command click (on any triangle) would open/close all. Yesterday with 10.3 I found that Command Option click worked. Today nothing works. I just tried every combination. Must report to Apple….

[Bill Davis] “”it’s not for actual pros””

It baffles me that this attitude is still out there.

I’m convinced that most of those with this view are not willing to try something new nor put any effort into learning it.

I have reported this as a bug. It is not the way it should be. Also, I’ve reported that every time I open the Retime menu (Comnand Option R) the Ripple check box is checked. I want it to retain its last setting. I’ve reported that.

On the good side, Title clips on the timeline used to show the name of the clip followed by the text it contains. This has been reversed to show content first. It’s a simple thing but it’s a big help in identifying each clips contents when layering multiple text clips.

I’m also seeing better UI performance overall which was one of my biggest FCPX issues.

  • Your playhead is on an audio subframe. The gray area indicates the video frame where the cut shows.

I use MP3’s in FCPX all the time with no issues. Your problem is probably with the format your HDV was converted to.

You can’t select both and drag. You can position your playhead, select the end of one clip, hit Shift X and repeat. It’s less fiddly than dragging.

To lengthen both clips – drag select both clips and set duration (Control D) to plus how ever many seconds you want to add. For example – to add 5 seconds – select clips, Control D, +, 5, period, enter.

To blade both clips – drag select both clips, position the playhead or skimmer where you want to blade and hit Command B. Select and delete the unneeded part of the clips

Apparently not. I was just trying to do something with match color and couldn’t find a way to copy it. It would be handy to have.

I stopped sending out wmv’s almost 2 years ago. Now I just send m4v’s by exporting using Apple Devices setting at whatever resolution I need. Never had anyone say they can’t play it.
