Do you have the latest BMD drivers?

You can drop the footage into a project on the primary storyline and re-time it to 150% with ripple enabled.

Just choose the drive. Using Event Manger X to activate only the projects/events you want to update is what makes the choice as to what gets updated.

I’d suggest taking some training. Things are different but it’s all the same processes. Don’t get hung up on what things are called. I started with 10.0.0 and never looked back. I went to a Steve Martin seminar and followed up with the Ripple Training courses. There’s also Larry Jordan, Macpro Video, Izzy.com, Lynda.com and others. Don’t assume you should “just be able to do it”. Stay curious and put some effort into how the software works. It’s really great.

Select them in the timeline index

There are several ways to do this.
If you need to see the video in the viewer to set its parameters, use the keyframe editor (Control V). Drag the end of the clip out by a second or whatever duration you need, create the keyframe after where the clip will end and then drag the end of the clip back to its original position.
You can also do it in the inspector if you know what you want your parameters to be. For instance if you have your video scaled to 50% and you want it to scale up to 100% as it goes off the screen just set a keyframe where you want the transform to start (for instance 1 second before the end of the clip) and then, with the clip selected, place the play-head (for instance) 15 frames after the end of the clip. In the inspector set the scale to 100%. A keyframe will automatically be created and your motion will continue past the end of the clip.

If I make a color solid in FCP X and set it to 255,0,0 it is dead on in the vectorsope.
If I make an sRGB 1920X1080 document in Photoshop and fill it with 255,0,0 and save it as a PSD, then it is correct on the vectorscope in FCP X and matches the color solid.
Does this help?

March 10, 2014 at 6:03 pm in reply to: Not tracking cursor between windows during skimmingI’m not trying to get into a pissing contest here but I would expect the editors who work for me to be aware of how their tools work. This applies to all applications, not just FCP X. While I have to same problem with focus not shifting from the Library to the timeline, I have found a way to deal with it and have submitted feedback. There’s not much else I can do about it. I prefer the overall editing experience in FCP X to other solutions. That’s my choice and I take the good with the bad. But I always submit feedback (sometimes multiple times) about things that don’t seem right or are just blatantly wrong. Same with the skimmer/transform issue.

March 10, 2014 at 1:00 pm in reply to: Not tracking cursor between windows during skimmingThe skimmer doesn’t work while in those modes but dragging the playhead and clip skimming do. To quickly exit the transform/crop modes just hit the “A” key or any of the other cursor tool key shortcuts. Easier that clicking on “done”.
As far as the focus not shifting from the event to the timeline I just hit Cmd 3 followed by Cmd 2. It’s not ideal but it’s also not too far removed from just hitting Cmd 2.
I have also submitted feedback on this so maybe it will get fixed some day.

Then I’m not sure what you’re referring to because I don’t see this behavior on my system.
