I just did a quick test on my system and I can’t replicate this problem. What else could be going on I don’t know.

It has to be an effect that was added from the Effects Browser in order to delete from Video Animation. It can’t be Opacity, Distort, Trim or Transform because those are always attached to the clip. You can delete everything except Opacity but when you re-open Video Animation, Distort, Trim and Transform will be back.

Go to sharing prefs in preferences menu. Drag ‘save current frame’ from right window to left window and choose the format you want. Park the playhead on the frame you want and choose the sharing preset you just made.

From what I’ve seen, clicking and dragging on the value with option held down will give you more precise control but the modifiers do not do anything when dragging the slider

These techniques usually work with anything that has a slider. They are good to know for that exact reason – sliders can be wonky.

Click once and you can use up/down arrow keys to increase/decrease font size. Double click to enter an number. Click and hold to drag up/down to increase/decrease. The arrows light up when you drag.

30 years plus here also. Have been using FCP X since day one.

No problem with the interface or the naming conventions.

I have never had a client who cared about anything but time and budget.

3D Text is nicely implemented. Will use it where appropriate and necessary.

Put each import in a separate event. Make use of “show used” and “sort by unused” functions.
