Also remember there are subtle nuances with the FCP format EDL and the Premiere Pro. It almost certainly never works by just using the export -edl commands.

I have also been able to copy the AE noise plugin into Premiere…and work it from there,

If the level of noise is consistent throught the project and you are exporting to DVD – you may also want to try the Noise Reduction setting in the DVD export setup.
