So, it is a bug. Not some mysterious hardware/software configuration problem…
Hope people at BM will notice this, and solve it in the future release

Hi Alexis, your blog is pretty much the part missing in the manual. Reminds me the old days, 2K manual got full of practical examples for various functions.
Thank you for your detailed info on this confusing group function.
So, group seems not the right function for following situation, which is quite common. That after some very complex tweaking for a certain scene, the next day director review it and then decide change the whole scene(hundreds of shots) from warm for cold, or maybe from day to night (that could happen ;). Apparently there are all kinds of nodes graphs in the scene. So, group function is totally useless in this most common job for grading? Which I believe it should be reason why group function exist. And if my memory is correct, even 2K doesn’t have this limitation.

    Hi Vivek.

As the problem happens random, I will capture the log as soon as it happens again.

    As far as I noticed

    the fail frames are random
I’m rendering to DPX 10bits sequence
Source is also DPX 10bits sequence

From something I noticed, I think I might found the reason cause this nasty 99% issue.
In fact, there’s always one or two missing frames in the render sequence. Source image is fine, and missing frame location is random. The render batch freezes at 99% is in fact freeze at the missing one or two frames..

Yes, RS35 has a good reputation among small post business. I doubt it’s a decklink HDMI bug?

I don’t think yuv422 could cause this contour. Just like single link SDI also display beautiful image.

Hi Margus, do u mean that the banding was caused by the projector? But if so, why there’s no banding issue when connect the same projector to other hdmi output devices, PS3 or even an iPad it’s smooth?
