Partition your drive or partition a FW drive, load leopard and load FCP or an older version of FCP. start up with the leopard OS, ingest and save.

Thanks and these methods will work, but I am working on a time crunch. Having to go back and re-track audio is a waste of a few hours. Can I separate audio into their perspective L and R tracks during capture?
If not, I will capture in FCP and import the file to Premier and work.

Thanks John,

I tried to matte in AE, but I have noticed stuff from ZW comes in on a 2D plain. I would map the sphere in pro animator, but the sphere comes out blocky after a render and export. I am still getting around the program, but if I can smooth out the sphere and map the earth on it, my problem is solved and I don’t need to compose anything in AE.

When I get on my PowerMAC, I will try your method. My MBP, does’t like render the 3D objects that fast and I a watch paint dry.

I would have to look up the receipt, but I got a FW 800/USB/ESATA enclosure for about 80 bucks. When I went to SN and wanted to do a clean install, so I bought a 500GB HD and put it in the MBP and moved my 320 to the enclosure. It comes with a power adapter, but it is also bus powered, which is good for “field ingests” and “on the road”

Here is my work around. I have leopard installed as a boot disk on a partitioned FW800 drive with FCP2. I just start up leopard, ingest my P2 data, and save. I take the drive, to my powermac, copy the whole folder or just open (if I am doing only DV) in FCP3 and work from there.

BTW, I also run some older apps on the leopard partition until I can upgrade.

I am not holding my breath for Duel to make a 10.6 driver.

DJ, I thought everyone knew…..Digital Juice. I still get emails and saw the new zax update. I remembered that since I have gone to the intel macs I didn’t load my software.

I will probably upgrade. I am not sure where I want to use it. I have FCP7 (motion 4) and also have AE CS4. I have to look at the site, but it it will plug into AE and also be a stand alone, I can get it.

The arrow didn’t show up for some reason. It looks like the lens flair just on the top of the tree line between the two subjects.

The more I play with the demo, I am not sure I want to get this. I am afraid every guy out there is going to have the same backgrounds, with a 3D flyaround and a single line of text.

The product is great, I just wished it had a few more options.

An I missing an import function somewhere? Can you import backgrounds and other objects?

That is what I was looking for. The LAFCUG says 125 styles of calligraphy are downloadable from boris. Have you downloaded them yet and do they function with SN?
