I totally agree with Walter. The location of Microsoft tech support has no bearing on this.
Besides, in any case, Microsoft tech support does not operate out of Kolkata (the correct name for Calcutta). Nor, in fact do they operate out of anywhere in India. If you call Microsoft tech support anywhere in N America, you will be actually speaking to a person in N America. If your issue is something that cannot be handled there, it is escalated to the research centre in India probably.
Further, would things be different if you were actually speaking to an American sitting in Bangalore? Or an Indian, sitting in Redmond? You had stated…
