final cut studio upgrade–misunderstood
I might be misunderstood, but i went to purchase the final cut studio upgrade (from final cut 4.5) this weekend retail price was $699.99—-i thought the price was lower $199.99 or something like that. I own a G5 dual 2G OS 10.3.9. so i wanted to check if truly i am misunderstood—–also just to make sure if its universal its ok for my system?

Also – you’ll need to upgrade to 10.4.4 or later to use FCS.

In order to get FCS at the special crossgrade price, you must send in your current master disks to Apple and they will send you the crossgrade UB. You cannot walk into an Apple Store and buy this. It’s a mail-in only deal.

And yes, this Universal version will run on your G5, no problems.
