Is this really true !!
That you can convert a filing format system without a complete wipe and reformat !!!??????If so ..I will be ecstatic.
I cant tell you howmany times I have gone thru the rigorious process of formating to NTFS after buying a new drive. let alone the backup software that is already on it.
Are there any drawbacks to this methodWhere do you run this command from ?

I have a WD 320 gig “my book”
I have 2 LaCie D2 drives both firewire. Very happy
(My friend had a LaCie D2 that suddenly got bad sector errors and never behaved right even after full re-formats. But I think he was abusing “hot swapping” while he had data in transit etc..)I regularly have 2-3 drives and a camera running, converting simultaneously
You would never notice that I was editing on externals.
The performance hasnt shown its weakness yet.
Better to have several smaller video drives than one big one in my opinion.
Maxtor has treated me badly more than several times !HD however…you will need to rethink your pipeline for that realm.

I see it now.It doesnt matter if the audio stream has the same name as the video does it ?
I did a test with 2 songs and some stock footage.
they seemed to load and run fine. Will there be a drift or synch issue if the names are different. I remember some past talk about this stuff.Zipedit

Vegas will not benefit from a better card however the other programs may
the link below very clearly explains everything you’re asking.
I ran across it doing research myself.
It really can make a difference. almost model specific depending on the software route you choosehttps://www.videoguys.com/DIY-GPU.html

Can you take a 2D .png logo and make a beveled 3D object out of it and add textures etc..?.
Something I need to do.
Also does the “rapid” $99 dollar version have enough in it or do you really need to step it up.I read the comparisons but its not really descriptive.zipedit

important to remember.
P/C motion keyfame length is for the length of the event.
Track motion keyfame length is for the length of the track.
as a newer user it can throw you off trying to set keyframes. It is a little easier to use track motion and it has its advantages but you must a “restore the box” key before you can add additional events after it.
or else they will be placed where the previous event was left.also T-Motion is better to make an event really small or disappear in the distance.

Aside from the media manager not working…Any other noticable differences.
Any thoughts on where we can get more info on this.
I thought there would be a lot more buzz in the forum about this.Zipedit
