  • help !- How to do 2 audio choices for 1 video stream…??

We are completing a 10 minute short.
    We have a 5.1 AC3 audio file and a 2ch Ac3 audio file

How do I setup up the DVD arch3 project to have a menu choice to choose the
audio i want without having a separate movie all together.
I want a “audio setup” menu, choose the audio stream.

I’d like it to be similar to a “store bought movie” option.

    Thanks in advance

DVD Architect allows multiple audio streams. Just add a new audio stream. Open the video, add a new audio track, and add the secondary audio to that new track. You should add buttons allowing the user to switch between them on the menu.

    Yes- thank you
    I see it now.

It doesnt matter if the audio stream has the same name as the video does it ?
I did a test with 2 songs and some stock footage.
they seemed to load and run fine. Will there be a drift or synch issue if the names are different. I remember some past talk about this stuff.

There should be no sync issues if you’ve created the audio files correctly.

If you really want more of a Hollywood approach to changing the audio, try this:

Create two more buttons on the Menu (Insert>Empty Button).

Name one Audio One (or whatever) and the other, Audio Two.

Set Audio One so that its Destination is the Manu Page that it’s on (specify the page by name).
Set Destination Button to be The Video.
Set the Audio Track to 1.

Do the sames for the Audio Two button except the audio track is set to 2.

Now, when you hit the audio button, the highlight will bounce back to The Video, but the audio playback will be reset.
