im not in front of the computer at the moment, but your saying the blade will take the audio into consideration as far as frames , before the video ? hmmm.

and i did notice the grey bar to either side but like i said, it was very unpredictable and sometimes dropped cuts sometimes in that grey area and sometimes not.

I had the snapping on.

I did use Command B and it qworked but like said, i have to zoom in, and then select the clip, then hit Command B.

I just want to able to hit B, have the blade tool activate, and then click exactly where the i need the cut, but it seems like it will drop that cut a frame or two every single time. Surely this has to be a bug, unless im not getting it.

of course different for everyone, but usually one would color correct once picture is locked. Then you only correct the shots used , can get a better idea of an overall grade for all the clips etc. Not to mention, you wont have anything to render wether it be in the background (which doesnt work till you stop anyways) so therefore the NLE and your computer can work more efficiently .

ive been throwing a few interviews in FCPx that are heavily structured around music, and using the music in the Primary Storyline has been the way to go, although having to turn everything into a Secondary Storyline is a pain if you want to add transistions

been a hardcore logic user ssince version 5 on the PC, and theyve been dumbing it doubt ever since version 7, but so far the changes have been for the better . Id hate to see them ruin aa ood thing because for midi Logic is where its at, Pro Tools cant touch it in that regard .

Any thoughts as to why its not transcoding the footage on import? I thought it did this to everyhting or is that just h264?

they were ingesting useing xd transfer first on my rig at work but they come of the xd’s a 422 xd 1080i60. Now i have the files at home on a completely different drive and they flicker terribly and didnt transcode on import. The files look great in quicktime, FCP 7 etc.

agreed, just pointing out something thats a little more traditional regarding placement and conforming to a track like mentality.

With that said. WTF is wrong with the waveforms in FCPX? from the company that brings you FCP7 and LOGIC and STP, all with beautiful waveforms, we get this crap?
