    FCP X custom transition giving you a directional blur dissolve with a choice of glow presets.

    FCP X Transition: BG Directional Glow Blur Dissolve

    – There are controls to adjust blur angle on incoming and outgoing shot (with onscreen controls)
    – Glow preset levels / or no glow
    – Broadcast safe filter activation (if glow get’s to hot)

    Screenshot:

    Extract to a folder of your choosing inside /user name / movies / motion templates / Transitions
    (e.g extract to a new folder called “Custom Transitions”)

    do i need Motion 5 to use all these effects people are making?

    Hi Neil,

    Here’s a link to a helpful post from Mark Spencer regarding installing custom presets if you don’t have motion 5 installed.

    So yes you can use all the user generated presets, as long as you have the correct folder structure in place inside the finder.
