ummm yea, no ones asking me to put said transitions into my cut, but its a fast paced interview and could really use some flash here and there .
Looks like ill have to wait for the production suite.

The FCP team could have been taking notes from the Logic team this whole time. Since Apple took over from Emagic, the updates have been slow but substantial and the only dumbing down of the software only made it more user friendly by hiding and automating some of those complex features, not completely taking them away for example the environment and they upgraded it to 64 bit w/o changing a damn thing really. Sure theres still old old bugs and each version upgrade brings new ones, but that complex software for you.
Been using Logic since version 4 on the PC all the way up to 9 now, and like i said, the development has been slow, but its been steady and for the better.

if you have one clip that spans the whole time, then you can manually sync everything else to in it layers, using slugs to comensate for the camera stops, then export each track from start to finish as a reference file. Once done you should be able to turn all those layers into a multiclip that start at the same place.

I would sync the the clips to the parts of the song you do have, use a slug to fill the empty space, and export a reference file for each of your imcomplete takes, that way theyll be the same length as the master and you can multiclip them all together.

im seriously so sick of people talking about this software until anyone actually knows whats up with it. Everyones been saying the exact same thing since the day of release, we know all the pro’s opinions already, why re iterate. Sure were all curious whats gonna happen, but everything is so speculative that it drives me nuts.

yup, thats what i meant, but haveing a clip selected overwrites which track its cuts on until a cut is made and that track is deselected again.
