CBP respects a letter from the provincial tourism board for the providence you are traveling to. They will get ‘sticky’ about you ‘working’. The provinical tourism board gives us a “letter of invitation” that says flowery things like how many people we broadcast to and how I’m not staying long enough for a work permit and stuff like that. But it gives the border agent a higher authority to answer to – and that I relate to that higher authority. And it works. I’m doing mostly one man band assignments with a few hundred pounds of gear flying in for a week or two at a time.

Is there any update on this with regard to Creative Cloud in it’s current state?
I operate in the field without director/editor or producer supervision…so I need a really strong tool to give footage notes to my post team. They have been doing it on paper – and want that element as a _backup_ but in terms of actually doing it – I add my notes to the comment field of the Premier XMP…

Can you post some links or your own workflows that might work in CC?

We are producing quasi reality shows that do not go from a script – so “Adobe Story” would be way overdone – and Prelude is overdone and clunky.

Update>>You can export Metadata from all selected files from “File>Export>Batch List” and it will export a CSV that is kinda tricky to format nicely in a spreadsheet but it’s do-able.

I have had nothing but a buggy and crashy CC since March – I don’t know what update killed it – but I have my Nvidia GeForce Experience with the most updated drivers – I’m using the CUDA acceleration on the GeForce GTX 670M – (it worked for 9months without a hitch in CS6)

Are you loading the audio in your AFX and relying on it there…I would just delete it from your timeline there and edit it on it’s own track in Premier. It would depend on if and how much you’re re-tracking your audio in AFX…are you re-ordering or layering the audio in AFX?

What lens are you running on the FS100 – we’ve run canon glass on it and so get decent matches out of our Canon DSLR’s. The FS100 outshoots them in moving and panning shots where the un-stabilized sensors show the jitters or the rolling shutter smears the motion. Tonality wise – it’s as easy as matching any other non-identical camera systems. Go for a couple T3i or T4i rebels and you’ll be set with a great HD all around look.
