    Well Noah,
Going back to the discs is exactly what we’ll have to do. We’re logging for the editor, and when he’s finished, we’ll online with a little help from an edl, and then in to color grading etc. So we’re keeping the discs for online soon as the editing’s done.

But it is interesting though. We could rename Sony and TDK discs before the upgrade. But not Fuji??? I mean, shouldn’t an XDCam disc just be an XDCam disc – no matter the brand?

    Sorry,
We’re using the PDW-1500 and just this minute upgraded to XDCam transfer 2.10.0. And now it works, appearantly. Sorry for bothering you.

February 22, 2006 at 3:47 pm in reply to: Upper or lower field issues

    Thanks for a quick reply.
It doesnt seem to be that simple, the source material is upper field and whith no further changes in FCP and Compressor set to lower field domination I get this strobe problem. However whith the shift field filter in FCP set to +1 the problem seems solved. As far as I can understand it doesnt get deinterlaced or anything like that.
    All is fine now ( I hope)…

In the windows meny it claims to be open, so this do not help. I tried restart and still no timeline, however this time i was saved thanks to an unexpected quit. When I opened again it whas back. This lead me to suspect that a restore projekt command also whould work, I would wish there was a better way in case it happens again. It feels like a bug.
