Actually, I haven’t tried that yet. Do you know which files to trash?

Yeah, but I’ve been doing this exact thing for a couple of years with this computer and it’s never been a problem.
It’s a 2.66 quad core intel Xeon with 16G memory. It’s got and ATI Radeon HD 4870 and Nvidia GeForce GT 120 (if that helps.)

Never had trouble with the built in plugins. It would get slow with the added plugins but never just got a red screen with that error message.

    Not sure.

But I’ve always been able to watch the video directly from my camera and log the parts I want to digitize. Then I click batch and it’ll automatically find those scenes and digitize them.

Now that window is gone. I only get the option to capture immediately with no logging.

But I haven’t trashed the prefs yet.

    Thanks.
    I’ll give it a shot.

    That worked.

The weird thing is that I only changed one letter on a text slide. It worked fine before that.

    Thanks.

    How about this.

It was working fine for me. All I did was correct a spelling mistake on a text slide. Now I get the error 0.

    Just change one letter!

    Thanks.

I think I just had a brain freeze. But it seems to be okay.

I’ll give it a shot. Where do I find the waveform cache?

I’ll give it a shot. Always felt it easier to do it in the viewer. But I’d like to get to the bottom of this anyway.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll try it tomorrow when I’m back at the studio.

I’d love to be able to get a new monitor, but the money is going elsewhere right now.
I’ll give a look on eBay.

I thought I saw a post on some forum somewhere that talked about a cheaper alternative. Maybe I just read too fast.

    Thanks.
