Actually, I haven’t had a chance to run any test yet. I think it’s a corrupt project file that was causing my problems… i just haven’t created a new project with new footage.

Michael,
I agree. Its a really great plugin with awesome results. I think my system needs some TLC!
I haven’t tried it with other source footage, but I plan on it when i finish this project and get it to my client. The project is HDV, but my normal workflow involves a transcode to ProRes 422 at the time I capture the raw tape. But i was pressed for hdd space this time.
I’ll try a new project with fresh source footage in both hdv and prores and see what the results are.
On a similar, possibly related note – every time I export QT movies from this project, I get a ‘general error 34’. I baked several clips and received the error each time. I even received the error when i exported reference movies for Compressor.

June 18, 2010 at 2:37 am in reply to: Resource Tracking Tools + Project Management ToolsHave you considered Daylite from Marketcircle? If you’re a Mac user, it might be a good fit.

I know this isn’t common for folks on this thread, but I’ve been using an app my Marketcircle called Billings Mac (https://www.billingsapp.com). It’s really popular among the graphic design/web design community.
I like it. I’ve used it for a year now. It’s simple enough to not get in the way, but offers some great features. They just released an iPhone version on the iTunes App Store, which I also own. They sync together so I can invoice and track time while I’m away from my Mac…. and since you’re on a Mac, I think you’ll feel at home with it.
It’s not a standard like QuickBooks for PC/Mac, but check out the site and the application’s reviews.
Also, if you’re needing a CRM solution, you might consider Daylite and Daylite Touch (also made by Marketcircle) and integrates with Billings.

I thought it was operator error at first (that is, while i was shooting the video). But the colors were changing every 3-4 seconds without changing the locations.

November 26, 2008 at 3:58 am in reply to: Converting 29.97fps ProRes clip to 23.98 for multiclipjust a simple setup: canon xha1 via FireWire to MacBook Pro. External fw drives from there.. I have final cut studio 2.
I shoot in hdv and usually convert to prores on the fly through a custom easy setup preset. Typically I would shoot in 24f mode, but I mistakenly shot in 60i on one of the cams.

I’m trying to setup to capture the 23.98 material with 3:2 pulldown… but how exactly does one initiate that process? Just to be clear, i have an easy setup for HDV to ProRes. Can you outline the process for me… i don’t want to waste another 7hrs using compressor if i don’t have to.
Thanks man!
